Jack Weber Announces his Retirement

April 26, 2018

Credentials Solutions Executive Vice President Jack Weber is retiring after 20 years with the company. Weber, who has been with the Credentials since its inception in 1997, oversaw the sales and marketing operations for all of the company’s product lines.  He later focused on customer engagement, industry involvement and established a cooperative user community.

“It’s been an unbelievable experience building a company that changed the way colleges and universities conducted business with both students and others involved in the academic records sector,” said Weber.  “I am truly appreciative of the trust and confidence our clients have had in our ability to perform these functions on their behalf in a compliant and elegant manner.  I will always be grateful for their belief in Credentials and our ability to perform.”

Weber helped grow the company from a start-up to an industry leader. He brought in a large amount of the company’s current clients and maintained contact with key decision makers at Credentials’ client institutions to keep them informed of new product and service developments. In addition, he represented the company to industry trade groups and partners such as AACRAO, PESC, Ellucian and PeopleSoft, as well as call on large state educational systems.

Credential’s CEO Tom McKechney commented, “My friend and colleague Jack Weber was instrumental in building Credentials into the highly respected service provider we are today. His contributions to the company have been essential to our success.”  President and COO Jeff Geldermann added, “We wish Jack all the best for a well-earned retirement.”

Weber started his career selling into Higher Ed 35 years ago working for a scoreboard manufacturer in Chicago. He is a 1974 graduate of Yale University and serves on the Yale Alumni Schools Committee.  Weber is married with four children and resides in Glenview, IL.
