Credentials and SUNY Sign Master Agreement

July 18, 2016

Credentials Solutions and The State University of New York System have agreed to a Master Agreement for transcript exchange and production services. This agreement will make it more efficient for SUNY Institutions to enable both outbound and inbound electronic transcript processing, while enjoying savings based on overall system volumes.

The available services include Credentials’ online ordering platform TranscriptsPlus®, our proprietary middleware RoboRegistrar® and electronic fulfillment via TranscriptsNetwork™. Credentials will receive all incoming electronic transcripts in EDI, XML, or PDF format from both postsecondary and high school senders and will support direct delivery of these records to each SUNY receiving institution.

Credentials Solutions will also provide an opt-in Reverse Transfer Credit service for the SUNY System as part of the Master Agreement. This service will allow 4 year SUNY Institutions to send transcripts of completed academic work from the current institution back to an approved, previously attended 2 year SUNY Institutions for review and award of an Associate’s degree.

All solutions are supported by world-class customer service from Credentials. Each SUNY Institution will be supported by their Client Relationship Manager (CRM) during the implementation and throughout the relationship. CRMs are available every business day to address any questions or issues that arise during day-to-day operations. Credentials’ Customer Service Representatives will also support each institution’s students and alumni 5 days a week for 13 hours per day.

The Master Agreement provides the entire SUNY System with a consistent fee structure and includes volume incentives that provide lower costs as more SUNY Institutions opt-in to the various services.

All the products delivered by Credentials are fully compliant with the regulations set forth in the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and adhere to the provisions contained in PCI DSS regulations. All academic records and personal information are fully protected.

“I want to personally thank the SUNY Administration, as well as the SUNYRA group of Registrars, for having the trust and confidence in our organization to establish this comprehensive transcript processing solution,” said Jack Weber, Executive Vice President of Credentials Solutions. “The 400,000 plus enrolled students, as well as the countless State University of New York System alumni, will now be able to securely and efficiently transport and market their academic credentials anywhere in the world, 24/7, through the simple click of a button.  We are looking forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship for all concerned.”

Credentials is currently partnered with 28 of the 64 SUNY Institutions and is looking forward to expanding the relationship with more SUNY institutions as a result of the Master Agreement.
